Ashley Chapman Breaks CNF Freediving World Record

American freediver Ashley Futral Chapman broke yet another world record to 67 meters/ 219 feet in the discipline of constant weight no-fins yesterday at Dean’s Blue Hole in the Bahamas. Ashley has broken this record twice in the past, only to have it rebroken by the Russian freediving great, Natalia Molchanova days later.

With more than a week of competition to go at Vertical Blue 2012  we’re all left wondering…how much deeper can Ashley go? I have a strong feeling no one’s going to be re-breaking her records anytime soon!

In addition to Ashley’s amazing performance many other national records also fell including the US men’s free immersion record, which Rob King re-set to 87 meters/ 285 feet.
